During these times of uncertainty, we firmly believe that there is power in working together to remain resilient as an industry. We know that this is a challenging time for everyone and would like to assure you that the safety and well-being of our employees, broker partners and customers continues to be our top priority.

As we continue to closely monitor the COVID-19 situation we are making informed decisions based on the guidance and recommendations as laid out by the government and health authorities. With that, we wanted to provide further detail and clarification on our position across our services and coverages.

We are ensuring the proper guidelines are put in place to protect our employees against COVID-19 and are staying abreast of the latest updates to ensure we are fully prepared to continue supporting brokers in any eventuality.

Our robust business continuity plans and strategies have been enacted, with work-from-home capabilities that allow us to maintain service levels to you and your customers.

Rest assured RSA Canada remains open for business on all the same communication channels you found us prior to the COVID-19 situation; brokers should continue to engage and transact business with us using these channels.

In times of crises, billing always becomes a top of mind concern and we can confirm that the billing team is fully operational and functional with payments and all other billing transactions continuing to be processed.

RSA is complying with government direction to limit social interactions and RSA will not require our customers to meet with others for property inspections or appraisals at this time.

We can confirm that our claims department continues to be fully up and running; we are here for you and your customers in the event of a claim.

For any Personal Insurance claims (outside of Quebec) we recommend you submit a Claim using our online portal, RSA Claims Point™ , the quickest and easiest way to submit a claim. You can access RSA Claims Point™ through BRAVO using your BRAVO ID.

For all other claims you can call our claims teams at 1 800 319 9993 (for RSA and WA clients), 1 888 267 6766 (for CNS clients) and 1 800 873 2424 (for Quebec clients).

At this time, we will continue to renew policies as business as usual. You have our commitment that our teams will exercise the required patience needed as you, our broker partners work through your business continuity plans and manage your customer challenges and needs.

RSA remains committed to supporting our RSA contracted brokers and their customers through this challenging period and maintains a flexible position with respect to extensions or holding cover. We will address these requests on a case-by-case basis. Again, in the event that an extension is required due to recent developments, we are committed to a flexible and accommodating approach.

Please keep in mind, each situation has a unique set of facts that must be considered in order to provide an accurate statement on the applicability of coverage. In order to properly assess coverage, the policy must be read in its entirety and all relevant terms, conditions and exclusions must be considered.

This communication is intended as a guideline only and is intended to assist you with inquiries from your clients. Please reach out to your underwriter or claims representative for specific policy details.

This is a time of unprecedented change and complexity. We remain committed to staying closely connected with you throughout this new journey and we hope you can take some assurance in our strength and stability during this uniquely challenging time.
